The 501st Legion has to be one of my favorite cosplay organizations, not just because I’m of Sith affiliation either. They are a non-profit organization whose purpose is to bring the Star Wars fandom a little closer to home. They volunteer with organizations all over the world, in costume. Yes. It does get hot in there. They have no affiliation with Lucas Arts but are operating under the licensing. I don’t really know how that works but that’s why I’m an English secondary education major. To get in all one really needs is a costume based on one of the baddies (they require professional grade) and a love for helping people. Give these guys a look see. I love them.
